Pnina’s Wax

Medium: Mixed Media

The work is colorful and unique.  The process consists of crayons with heat added to make her creations come to life. I discovered her work at a local gallery in Maine, and was immediately drawn to the technique and composition.  Vibrant blended images create wonderful pieces of art.  She not only enjoys New England but all that it offers.  Her talents extend to jewelry and 3D composition.  Visit her work.

Boothbay Region Art Foundation

While visiting Maine this past Fall, I stumble upon this wonderful art foundation. All types of mediums are represented and chatting with one of the artists made it more inviting into their world. The gallery serves artists in the community for all ages to enjoy, learn and participate. How could you not!? Their mission was simple, through fund raising they engage local students and educate into the world of art. It worked. Learning and creating still takes place today even after 50 years of engagement. Today with 250 members, The Boothbay Region Art Foundation is strong and continues to education and sponsor and support the arts. Yay!

Gleason Fine Art

While on a trip to Maine last Fall, I stumbled upon The Gleason Fine Art Gallery nestled in downtown Boothbay Harbor.  The owners are a husband and wife team with the gallery fitted with their surname. Complete with a waterview and a fabulous collection of 19-20 century fine art, the artwork spreads out on the entire first floor of the restored 19th century farmhouse building… The works vary from painters to sculptures and include many New England water scenery.  They host exhibitions throughout the year and offer appraisals, consulting and restoration services. What a lovely experience!
