Comstock Firemen’s Museum

Visit: Comstock Firemen’s Museum

Fire! You won’t see a blaze here, but you will appreciate a rich collection of firefighting history that reflects on Virginia City. The mission is to preserve, display and interpret firefighting articles and artifacts of firefighting past.   Learn about the life and culture within the communities and view the hose drawn carriages and hand pump engines. The collection of antique toys made from cast iron are wonderful replicas of olden times. The setting has a fabulous view of the city and surrounding hills.

Frank Rossbach

For the month of March I will be covering artists, galleries and museums from Nevada and California.  I recently visited the Reno / Lake Tahoe region and took in as many creative venues as I could.  Enjoy!!

Medium: Glass Blowing

Owner Frank Rossbach has been a glass artist for some time. His seasoned artistry came from his dad and then an apprentice in Europe. His creations range from wedding cake toppers to animals. I was fortunate enough to visit his studio last year and view all his enchanted world. I was enchanted by all his talented world of glassblowing! View for yourself.
